We like to choose a jar of our favourite store-bought marinara or tomato sauce, since it infuses so much flavour in one simple ingredient. 5-Ingredient Slow Cooker Beef Bolognese
Prep Time: 10 minutes

1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 onion, diced
1 lb ground beef
1 x 750 ml jar marinara or tomato sauce
½ cup chicken broth or dry red wine
½ tsp sea salt and pinch of pepper
1. Place a wide skillet over medium-high heat and add in the oil. Once heated, put in onion and cook for 3 minutes until translucent.
2. Add in the ground beef, break it up with the back of a spoon and allow to brown.
3. Then place the onion, browned beef, sauce, broth, salt and pepper in the slow cooker.
4. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 3 hours.
